On The Road to Vineman Ironman 70.3

November 1, 2009 registration opened for the 2010 Vineman Ironman 70.3 in Sonoma County.  Amanda and I decided 2010 would be the year to tackle this challenge, so we pulled out the credit card and made the committment (or at least paid for it).  During the months of November and December as I ran and biked I often thought I should write down what training I completed and record my thoughts and attitudes along the way.   As January rolled around I decided create this blog for a couple reasons: 

1. Publicly record my training to keep me honest
2. Create a history of the journey to look back on after successfully completing the event
3. To encourage others who may be considering taking on a half ironman or any other challenge
